Quick answer for Grapevine residents
Republic Services provides solid waste collection for the City of Grapevine. Regular waste must be inside the provided blue trash cart on standard trash pickup days. Bagged trash outside the cart is not collected on normal trash days.
Grapevine Trash Pickup Day Lookup — Find Your Waste, Recycling, Bulk and Brush Schedule
The fastest way to confirm your Grapevine trash pickup schedule garbage collection is to use the City’s official waste and recycling pickup schedule page or the Recycle Coach app. Grapevine is not a “guess by neighborhood” city. Your normal waste days, recycling day and brush or bulk calendar can depend on your assigned route.
Open the official schedule page
Use the City of Grapevine pickup schedule page or Recycle Coach app to confirm your current waste, recycling and special collection schedule.
Check your regular trash days
Republic’s service guide says waste is collected twice per week. Put the city-provided blue waste cart at the curb before 7 AM on your collection day.
Check your recycling day separately
Recycling is collected once per week. Do not assume recycling is on both trash days.
Check bulk, brush and clean yard waste dates
Bulk and brush schedules are not the same as normal trash. Use the City calendar links before setting out large items, limbs or extra bagged trash.
Resident shortcut: If you recently moved to Grapevine, do not copy a neighbor’s timing unless you are sure your side of the street is on the same route. Add your address in Recycle Coach and save Republic’s phone number before your first pickup week.
Grapevine Garbage Cart Rules — Blue Trash Cart, Set-Out Time and Extra Bags
The Citywide Trash Cart Program is important. Grapevine says all waste must be placed in the provided cart to be collected on regular trash days. As of October 1, 2024, the new blue trash cart is the only trash cart collected on standard trash pickup days by Republic Services.
Do this on regular trash days
- Use the provided blue trash cart.
- Put the cart curbside before 7 AM.
- Keep all regular waste inside the cart.
- Close the lid as much as possible.
- Place the cart where the automated truck can access it.
- Remove carts by 8 AM on the day after pickup.
Avoid this
- Do not leave bagged trash outside the blue cart on regular trash days.
- Do not place carts out too early.
- Do not block carts with vehicles, trailers or basketball goals.
- Do not mix bulk debris with regular cart trash.
- Do not place hazardous materials in the cart.
- Do not use a business account rule for a residential property.
What if one trash cart is not enough?
Grapevine’s official page says an additional cart is available to residents for a $6 monthly fee. Businesses are required to have a commercial account with Republic Services. If you regularly overflow your cart, ordering a second cart is safer than leaving bagged trash beside the cart and hoping it is collected.
Extra bag reality: The City says additional bagged trash will be collected on bulk collection days, not on regular trash pickup days, unless it is contained inside the provided blue trash cart. Always check whether your route uses Wednesday bulk collection or Tuesday bulk collection based on your regular trash schedule.
Grapevine Holiday Trash Pickup Schedule 2026 — When Republic Collection Shifts

|---|---|---|---|
| New Year’s Day | Thursday, January 1, 2026 | Thursday service shifts to Friday; Friday shifts to Saturday. | Put carts out one day later if your route is affected. |

Grapevine Bulk Pickup, Brush Collection and Clean Yard Waste — What Goes Out and When
Grapevine bulk and brush service is useful, but it is also easy to misuse. The City notes that additional bagged trash is collected on bulk collection days. Clean brush and yard waste have separate rules, and the City warns residents not to let contractors use residential curbside service to avoid disposal costs.
Bulk pickup can include
- Extra bagged household trash on bulk collection days.
- Large household items that do not fit in the regular cart.
- Some bulky items, depending on Republic and City rules.
- Items listed on the official bulk and brush info sheet.
Clean brush / yard waste
- Large brush pickup is every 1st and 3rd Wednesday if applicable.
- Clean brush includes limbs, large branches and trimmings too large for containers.
- Clean yard waste and brush should not be mixed with household trash.
- Contractor-generated material should be removed by the contractor.
Before you set out bulk
- Check whether your route uses Tuesday or Wednesday bulk collection.
- Confirm whether it is the 2nd, 4th or 5th collection week for your route.
- Do not block sidewalks, driveways, storm drains or traffic.
- Call Republic if the item is unusual or heavy.
Contractor warning: If you pay someone for landscape work, tree work or remodeling, require that contractor to remove and dispose of the material. Do not let paid contractor debris become a residential curbside pile.
