Grapevine Trash Pickup Day Lookup — Find Your Waste, Recycling, Bulk and Brush Schedule

The fastest way to confirm your Grapevine trash pickup schedule garbage collection is to use the City’s official waste and recycling pickup schedule page or the Recycle Coach app. Grapevine is not a “guess by neighborhood” city. Your normal waste days, recycling day and brush or bulk calendar can depend on your assigned route.

1

Open the official schedule page

Use the City of Grapevine pickup schedule page or Recycle Coach app to confirm your current waste, recycling and special collection schedule.

2

Check your regular trash days

Republic’s service guide says waste is collected twice per week. Put the city-provided blue waste cart at the curb before 7 AM on your collection day.

3

Check your recycling day separately

Recycling is collected once per week. Do not assume recycling is on both trash days.

4

Check bulk, brush and clean yard waste dates

Bulk and brush schedules are not the same as normal trash. Use the City calendar links before setting out large items, limbs or extra bagged trash.

Resident shortcut: If you recently moved to Grapevine, do not copy a neighbor’s timing unless you are sure your side of the street is on the same route. Add your address in Recycle Coach and save Republic’s phone number before your first pickup week.

Cart rules

Grapevine Garbage Cart Rules — Blue Trash Cart, Set-Out Time and Extra Bags

The Citywide Trash Cart Program is important. Grapevine says all waste must be placed in the provided cart to be collected on regular trash days. As of October 1, 2024, the new blue trash cart is the only trash cart collected on standard trash pickup days by Republic Services.

Do this on regular trash days

  • Use the provided blue trash cart.
  • Put the cart curbside before 7 AM.
  • Keep all regular waste inside the cart.
  • Close the lid as much as possible.
  • Place the cart where the automated truck can access it.
  • Remove carts by 8 AM on the day after pickup.

Avoid this

  • Do not leave bagged trash outside the blue cart on regular trash days.
  • Do not place carts out too early.
  • Do not block carts with vehicles, trailers or basketball goals.
  • Do not mix bulk debris with regular cart trash.
  • Do not place hazardous materials in the cart.
  • Do not use a business account rule for a residential property.

What if one trash cart is not enough?

Grapevine’s official page says an additional cart is available to residents for a $6 monthly fee. Businesses are required to have a commercial account with Republic Services. If you regularly overflow your cart, ordering a second cart is safer than leaving bagged trash beside the cart and hoping it is collected.

Extra bag reality: The City says additional bagged trash will be collected on bulk collection days, not on regular trash pickup days, unless it is contained inside the provided blue trash cart. Always check whether your route uses Wednesday bulk collection or Tuesday bulk collection based on your regular trash schedule.

Holiday schedule

Grapevine Holiday Trash Pickup Schedule 2026 — When Republic Collection Shifts

Republic Services’ Grapevine holiday notice says normal Monday through Friday collections take place as usual unless specifically noted. The notice for New Year’s Day 2026 says Thursday service shifts to Friday and Friday service shifts to Saturday.

Holiday 2026 Date Known Grapevine / Republic Impact What to Do
New Year’s Day Thursday, January 1, 2026 Thursday service shifts to Friday; Friday shifts to Saturday. Put carts out one day later if your route is affected.
Thanksgiving Thursday, November 26, 2026 Republic usually posts a specific holiday notice for Grapevine. Check the current City holiday schedule before Thanksgiving week.
Christmas Day Friday, December 25, 2026 Republic usually posts a specific holiday notice for Grapevine. Check Republic and City notices before setting carts out.
Other holidays Varies Normal collection may continue unless posted otherwise. Use Recycle Coach and the City holiday service schedule.

Bulk, brush and yard waste

Grapevine Bulk Pickup, Brush Collection and Clean Yard Waste — What Goes Out and When

Grapevine bulk and brush service is useful, but it is also easy to misuse. The City notes that additional bagged trash is collected on bulk collection days. Clean brush and yard waste have separate rules, and the City warns residents not to let contractors use residential curbside service to avoid disposal costs.

Bulk pickup can include

  • Extra bagged household trash on bulk collection days.
  • Large household items that do not fit in the regular cart.
  • Some bulky items, depending on Republic and City rules.
  • Items listed on the official bulk and brush info sheet.

Clean brush / yard waste

  • Large brush pickup is every 1st and 3rd Wednesday if applicable.
  • Clean brush includes limbs, large branches and trimmings too large for containers.
  • Clean yard waste and brush should not be mixed with household trash.
  • Contractor-generated material should be removed by the contractor.

Before you set out bulk

  • Check whether your route uses Tuesday or Wednesday bulk collection.
  • Confirm whether it is the 2nd, 4th or 5th collection week for your route.
  • Do not block sidewalks, driveways, storm drains or traffic.
  • Call Republic if the item is unusual or heavy.

Contractor warning: If you pay someone for landscape work, tree work or remodeling, require that contractor to remove and dispose of the material. Do not let paid contractor debris become a residential curbside pile.

Recycling

Grapevine Recycling Pickup — Green Recycling Cart, Drop-Off Station and Clean Material Rules

Grapevine’s recycling program makes it easy to recycle cardboard, paper, plastic bottles and cans in the cart provided by the City. Republic’s service guide also lists common recyclables such as paper, plastic bottles and jugs, cartons, flattened cardboard, metal cans and glass, with the reminder that recyclables should be empty, clean and dry.

Common cart recyclables

  • Paper.
  • Flattened cardboard.
  • Plastic bottles and jugs.
  • Cartons.
  • Metal cans.
  • Glass where accepted in the Grapevine recycling stream.

Keep recycling clean

  • Empty containers before recycling.
  • Keep material clean and dry.
  • Flatten cardboard to save room.
  • Do not put food waste in recycling.
  • Use Recycle Coach for “what goes where” questions.
  • When unsure, call Environmental Services.

Drop-off recycle station

  • Grapevine has a drop-off recycle station for residents.
  • It accepts household recyclables and electronics according to City rules.
  • The City says the station was temporarily relocated near 851 N Main St.
  • Check the official page before visiting because locations can change.

Need a recycle container? Grapevine’s FAQ says residents can request a recycle container by calling the City of Grapevine Service Center at 817-410-3330 between 7 AM and 4 PM, Monday through Friday.

Missed pickup

Missed Trash Pickup in Grapevine — Who to Call and What to Check First

If Republic misses a scheduled collection, the Republic service guide says to call 817-332-7301 as soon as possible. Republic says they will try to return the same day; if the driver has already left the City of Grapevine, collection will occur the following day.

1

Check whether it was your correct collection day

Use Recycle Coach or the City schedule page. Waste, recycling, bulk and brush are not all handled the same way.

2

Check the 7 AM rule

If your cart was not curbside before 7 AM, it may not count as a missed pickup.

3

Check cart and material rules

Bagged trash outside the blue cart, contractor debris, hazardous waste or unscheduled bulk can be left behind.

4

Call Republic first

Call Republic Services at 817-332-7301. For city service questions or recycling container help, call Grapevine Environmental Services at 817-410-3330.

Do not wait several days. If the cart was correctly placed and missed, call as soon as possible. Republic’s ability to return the same day depends on whether the driver is still in Grapevine.

Hazardous waste

Grapevine Hazardous Waste Disposal — Paint, Gasoline, Yard Chemicals and Oils

Household hazardous waste is not normal trash. Grapevine explains that hazardous waste can be dangerous or harmful to human health or the environment, and household hazardous waste includes paint, gasoline, yard chemicals and oils. Some items are illegal to put in the trash, pour down the sink or dump into storm drains.

Do not put these in trash

  • Paint and solvents.
  • Gasoline and fuels.
  • Yard chemicals and pesticides.
  • Oils and automotive fluids.
  • Corrosive, reactive, flammable or toxic products.

Where Grapevine points residents

  • Household Hazardous Waste events.
  • Environmental Collection Center in Fort Worth.
  • Official City Environmental Services pages.
  • Call before visiting to confirm rules, limits and proof of residency.

Storm drain warning: If a label says flammable, corrosive, reactive, toxic, poison, pesticide, solvent, oil or fuel, do not treat it as normal garbage. Use Grapevine’s hazardous materials guidance first.

Number 1 mistake: Plastic bags in the blue cart. They jam sorting machines and send entire truckloads to landfill. Take them to Kroger, Publix, or Target drop-off bins instead.
