Flower Mound Trash Pickup Schedule 2026: Quick Resident Answer

Republic Services collects residential trash, recycling, bulk items and brush once each week in Flower Mound. Your exact weekday depends on the service address. The Town’s official map divides routes into Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday areas.

Place the blue trash cart and green recycling cart at the curb by 7:00 a.m. Carts may go out no earlier than 8:00 a.m. the day before collection and must be removed no later than 8:00 a.m. the day after collection.

How to Find Your Flower Mound Trash Schedule Today

The assigned weekday controls regular trash, recycling, bulk and brush service. Do not rely only on the weekday used by a nearby neighborhood because collection boundaries can cross major roads and subdivisions.

Republic Services collects the green 95-gallon recycling cart once per week on the same assigned weekday as trash. A different truck empties the recycling cart, and the sorting occurs at Republic’s facility.

Moving Boxes

Flower Mound’s utility FAQ says moving boxes can go with weekly service. Flatten and stack them near the curb. If bundled, each bundle should weigh no more than 50 pounds. The Town describes pickup up to the equivalent of a 3-foot by 3-foot by 6-foot area.

The Town’s primary recycling page does not list one permanent municipal drop-off center for every recyclable material. Most common paper, cardboard, bottles, cans, cartons and glass belong in the weekly green cart.

2026 Spring Eco-Action Day Reference

The April 18, 2026 Eco-Action Day accepted personal shredding, small appliances, small furniture, clothing, textiles, electronics other than televisions, writing instruments, eyeglasses, thin-film plastic, wire hangers, books and gently used sneakers. It did not accept liquids, fluorescent bulbs, auto batteries, tires or large furniture.

Living Earth Green-Waste Drop-Off

Living Earth provides a free green-material disposal option for Flower Mound residents. It is intended for residential loads, not commercial landscapers or contractor-transported material.

Household Hazardous Waste and E-Waste Home Pickup

Flower Mound residents can schedule Republic Services to collect eligible household hazardous waste and electronics from the front porch. This is a separate appointment—not the normal curbside trash or bulk route.

2. Wait for the scheduling response. The Town says residents should receive a response within 24 hours, excluding weekends, although demand can affect the actual pickup date.
3. Receive the preparation kit. Republic mails instructions, bags, labels and zip ties.
4. Keep products identified and separated. Use original containers or the supplied labels. Do not mix unlike products.
5. Place the prepared items on the front porch by 7 a.m. Do not place HHW at the curb. The porch must be visible from the street unless access instructions were provided.
6. Allow the 7 a.m.–7 p.m. collection window. Unlabeled items will not be collected.

Camelot Landfill Free Resident Access

Flower Mound residents may make one free trip per month to Camelot Landfill with up to 10 cubic yards of eligible waste. Larger loads and non-compactible material can produce additional fees.

1. Confirm the assigned weekday and holiday status. A one-day delay can move Friday collection to Saturday.

Construction, Remodeling and Contractor Waste

Bricks, concrete, tile and similar non-compactible material do not belong in the blue cart or ordinary weekly bulk pile. Town construction packets also state that residential and commercial projects requiring a dumpster or roll-off for renovation or construction debris must use Republic Services under the franchise arrangement.
